PRINCIPAL’S WEEKLY BULLETIN

STUDENT SECTION:

 

Girls’ Day: - A HUGE thank you to all the girls who participated in Girls’ Day last Thursday. You looked and acted in a very professional manner, and those whom you were shadowing were extremely impressed. Good Job, ladies!

 

Student Council Meeting: - There will be a Student Council Meeting Tuesday, March 28th, at 7:40 a.m. in C-3. All classes and clubs such as AVID, Dual, DSG and Music must be in attendance to vote on your fundraisers and activities.

 

Disneyland Fundraiser: - Eligible 8th graders who would like to earn money toward their 8th grade Disneyland Trip can begin to sell chocolate covered pretzels. Permission slips need to be filled out in order to participate. Students will need to sell 3 boxes of pretzels to earn their Disneyland tickets. There are 60 pretzels per box. Students will receive $30 per box sold and the other $30 pays for the pretzels. This fundraiser is only for students who are eligible to attend Disneyland and do not owe any money to LMI-ASB.

 

Washington, D. C. Participant Meeting: - Those attending this year’s Washington, D. C. trip need to attend a mandatory meeting Tuesday, March 28th at the beginning of lunch in room C-15. Please be on time!

 

Shakey’s D. C. Fundraiser: - You and your families are invited to Shakey’s Pizza in Pico Rivera this Wednesday to help support our Washington, D. C. trip. You will have an opportunity to win one of many gift baskets so come and join in on the fun.

 

Spirit Points Competition: - So far we have tallied all points earned by purchasing school supplies. 1st place and winner of the third quarter is 7 th grade with 31,233 points, 2nd place; 8th grade, 30,452 points, 3rd place; 6th grade, 29,545 points. These new totals include all Box Tops for Education that have been turned in so far. The quarter ended last Friday we are all starting at 0 this week.

 

Do Something Good Club - will have a meeting this Wednesday, March 29th , in the library at both lunches. Come and see all the exciting things that are going on. We will send a reminder, but please try to remember to attend. Thank you!

 

After School Tutoring - is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:50 – 3:00 p.m. Please see Ms. Leticia Garcia if you have any questions. Thank you.

 

Spirit Wear Wednesdays and Fridays: - Just a reminder to please help our spirit competition by counting those students who wear college wear on Wednesdays and LMI wear on Fridays. Remember: LMI shirts, AVID, DUAL, Music and DSG count! Thank you!

 

Spring Dance: - We will be having a Spring Fling Dance on Wednesday, April 5th . All our dances this year have been a tremendous success and fun has been had by all in attendance. We will begin our pre-sale of tickets at the end of March.

 

ID Replacement: - If you have lost your ID and need a replacement you will need to pre-pay $3.00 and order at least a week ahead of time. We will no longer be able to give you a new ID on the same day you place your order.

 

Yearbook Pre-Sales: - The presale of our 2017 Trojan Yearbook has now begun. The pre-sale price is $38.00. We accept cash or Money Orders only! See Ms. Blanca in the student store if you would like to purchase one!

 

Box Tops for Education: - We are continuing to collect and give spirit points for all Box Tops for Education turned in. We want to make one more submission before the end of the school year so please send all box tops for C-3 with your grade level written on the back of each.

 

REMINDERS:

• 8th Grade Panoramic Picture: - @ 11:30 p.m. April 10, 2017.

Spring Break: - The calendar for Spring Break, 2017, is April 13th - 21st.

LMI Sock Drive

Help us provide comfort to those in need in our community

Begins: March 1, 2017

Our Goal is One Pair of Socks Per Student at LMI!

We need socks of all sizes and colors. Bring your brand-new socks to your Language Arts Teacher and receive a raffle ticket for a $100 Toys R Us Gift Card!!!!  The class that collects the most pairs of BRAND NEW SOCKS will receive a Pizza Party!!!
