Congratulations to our Top 7 LMI Students: - Ashley Castaneda-Rodriguez, Jennifer Cortez, Paulina Flores, Jennifer Ibarra,
Andre Maldonado, Raquelrae Moreno, Lizette Roman. Thank you to all the eighth graders who participated. The Top 7 award
ceremony will be held on Friday, April 21st, at 7:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Whittier.


Notice: - Students making and bringing homemade slime to school need to leave it at home! Those selling homemade slime need to
stop their sales immediately!


Student Council Meeting: –There will be a Student Council Meeting this Tuesday, April 25th, in C-3 at 7:40 a.m. All
representatives should be in attendance.


Washington, D. C. Meeting: - Washington D. C. participants need to attend a brief meeting this Tuesday, April 25th, in C-15 at the
beginning of lunch. These meetings are only 10 minutes long! Be on time!


Do Something Good Club Meeting - will take place in the library during both lunches on Wednesday, April 26th. Please feel free to
bring your lunch as we prepare for our culminating event on June 3rd. Have your invitees selected and ready to go!


Do Something Good Club: - DSG members who plan to attend the field trip to Whittier Narrows this Saturday, April 29th, please
stop by and see Liz Vera, Principal's Secretary, for your permission slip.


Disneyland Fundraiser: - 8th graders who have checked out pretzels for their Disneyland ticket need to complete sales by Friday,
May 5th, 2017. Disneyland is on May 25th! More information about Disneyland will be out in May!


Spirit Wear Wednesdays and Fridays: - Just a reminder to please help our spirit competition by counting those students who wear
college wear on Wednesdays and LMI wear on Fridays. Remember: LMI shirts, AVID, DUAL, Music and DSG count! Thank


Spirit Points Competition: - So far we have tallied all points earned by purchasing school supplies: 1st Place: 8th grade, 228,127
points, 2nd place: 7th grade, 43,298 points, 3rd place 6th grade, 29,186 points. Continue to bring in Box Tops for Education. Your
grade level receives 10 spirit points for each box top turned in. These new totals reflect spirit points given for the sock drive.


Fines: - Fine lists for Helen Grace fundraiser and overdue library books are to be paid in C-3 as of this week! Textbook fines are to
be paid to Elizabeth Vera in the Principal’s office! Receipts will be issued! Any questions see Ms. Drulias.


AVID College Readiness: - Celebrates the AVID College Readiness Students for the month of April: 7th Grade: Christian Ortiz,
(Gomez) 8th Grade: Irena Azaryan – (Acevedo).


AVID: - Congratulations to the AVID Spotlight Students for the month of April: 6th Grade: (Zavala) - Ebony Acosta, (Mercado)
Steven Salinas, Hannaa Chavez; 7th Grade: (Gomez) – Isaac Garcia, Ethan Hester, Christian Reyes; 8th Grade: (Acevedo) – Natalie
Coronel, Rosemary Godinez, David Pitones.


Dual Program: - Congratulations to the Dual Scholar Students for the month of April: 6th Grade: (Mercado) – Miriam Villalobos; 7th
Grade: (Ms. Gaspar) – Breanna Menjivar & Nayati Ramirez; 8th Grade - (Banuelos) Guadalupe Gonzalez & David Perez.


Washington, D.C. Parent Meetings: - Thursday, April 27th!! There will be a meeting for all 7th parents to get details and begin
saving for next year’s 2018 trip.


ID Replacement: - If you have lost your ID and need a replacement you will need to pre-pay $3.00 and order at least a week
ahead of time. We will no longer be able to give you a new ID on the same day you place your order. If a new student needs an
ID they will need to come to C-3 and have their photo taken and an ID will be processed for free.


Yearbook Pre-Sale: The presale of our 2017 Trojan Yearbook continues and the current price $38.00. This pre-sale price will
change after Spring Break. So order yours soon!


Box Tops for Education:- We are continuing to collect and give spirits points for all Box Tops for Education turned in. We want
to make one more submission before the end of the school year so please send all box tops to C-3 with your grade level written on
the back. Remember you get 10 spirit points for each Box Top you turn in!
